Age Concern Seminar

NIGAG members have been invited, together with other interested parties, to the Age Concern seminar 'Being Age Positive', which will look at the EU Directive on Age Discrimination in Employment coming into effect in 2006. The seminar is being held at the Wellington Park Hotel on 17th September 2003. Inaugural Northern Ireland
Government Affairs Group Lecture

The Inaugural Northern Ireland Government Affairs Group lecture was delivered by Mr Jeffrey Donaldson MP. The event at Malone House, Barnett Demesne, on July 24th attracted regional television and print media coverage.


IPR Government Affairs Group Summer Reception

The IPR Government Affairs Group Summer Reception was held on Tuesday, 15th July in the David Lloyd George Room at the National Liberal Club, Whitehall Place, London SW1.
NIGAG was represented by several committee members.

Membership of NIGAG comes complete with invitations to a series of events organised to benefit public affairs professionals, their clients and/or employing organisations. All will be of direct interest, and provide a useful insight into the profession, as well as giving a first hand insight into political thinking.

Dail Visit 24th & 25th June - Two-Day Visit to Dublin: This included a tour of the Dail and a number of key briefings from all of the main political parties.

Reception for Green Party MEPs, TDs, MSPs & London Assembly members

Reception for visiting Green Party MEPs, TDs, MSPs and members of the London Assembly presented a unique opportunity to network with key players from the European Parliament, Scottish Parliament, Dail and London Assembly.

BOUNDARY COMMISSION ADDRESSES NIGAG

ON JUNE 13th Mr John Fisher, head of the Boundary Commission in Northern Ireland provided a special briefing to NIGAG.

Mr Fisher explained in detail the process of reviewing the 18 local Constituencies and how organisations can make their own submissions.
